Problem Definition
The organizer of a triathlon requires a reliable time measuring system suitable for the three disciplines "swimming - cycling - running" without impeding the athletes during the contest.

Solution to the Problem
Each participant is given a wristband during registration, which contains a transponder with a unique number. The data of the participant are stored together with his transponder ID number in a database.

A transponder reader is placed at the finishing line of the individual disciplines, where the athletes must register, i.e. they briefly place the wristband within a marked area until the registration has been confirmed by an audio signal. The reader sends a pulse to the database and transfers the ID number, which is stored together with the exact time of the emitted signal.

The final times are calculated on the basis of the stored times. Time evaluations of the individual disciplines are also possible.
