RFID Laundry Reader "CheckABag" - RFID reader for laundry applications
- Check-in of soiled garment inside of the delivery bags
- Detection of up to 100 garments simultaneously
- Identification of wet garments
- Ethernet connection
Integrated radio chips identifying the various articles of washing open up unimagined potentials for optimisation of laundry workflows.
Each piece of clothing is equipped with a small robust transponder. Containing a unique, keyed ID code, these transponders form the basis for automated identification of linen. Readers capture and read previously stored information without requiring a line of sight or physical contact with the particular piece of clothing.
The incoming laundry bags are put into the reader for a few seconds. A cleverly engineered antenna solution then safely and automatically senses all pieces of washing in a bag, requiring no manpower to examine and pick up the dirty laundry any longer and considerably reducing the risk of operator exposure to potential germ pockets.
The recorded data are provided via Ethernet.
