The modern automation concepts in industry and facility automation require a flexible, constant and rapid data exchange to different communication systems.
The LONtoProfibus-DP-Gateway is such a communication node between LON and Profibus-DP.
A field bus-controller carries out the internal translation of the data to the Profibus-DP-protocol. The central LON-component is a Neuronchip which acts as communication partner for the field bus-controller.
This LONtoProfibus-DP-Gateway can be used in the facility automation as well as in all other branches of industry.
Focal points of application are:
- Creation of an interface from LON to the SPS
- Coupling of LON components to an existing Profibus-DP-system
- Making a Profibus-master LON-compatible
