Managing Director of Brooks Automation (Germany) GmbH
Harald Buchmann was born in Bayreuth, Germany in 1968. After graduating in physics and business studies from Bayreuth University, he joined the Hermos corporate group in 1996. At HERMOS Gesellschaft für technische Informatik mbH he was responsible for structuring the sales network and marketing planning. Over a period of six years he drove the company's development from a start-up to become a producer of RFID components with a worldwide reputation. As managing partner he was responsible for strategic business planning, the formation of alliances and partnerships as well as innovation and technology management.
In 2002 the Bavarian-based business was taken over by Brooks Automation, this marking a strategic milestone for its successful entry into the expanding RFID market. Since then, as Director of RFID Systems, Buchmann has managed the fortunes of the globally operating business unit, which he successfully integrated, following the takeover, into the structures of the listed technology enterprise.
Since October 2004 Harald Buchmann has been a member of the executive of Brooks Automation (Germany) GmbH. |
